Ancient Black Rabbit is put to rest in oak barrels after going through the distillation process, which gives it a soft yet intense structure. Very approachable, and the ideal entry point for those not familiar with this type of shochu.

Yayoi
Amami Oshima is the seventh largest island Japan, located between the Southern tip of Kyushu and Okinawa. Historically speaking, the bond with Okinawa was intense, so cultural commonalities should not come as a surprise. The Yayoi distillery was founded at the start of the twentieth century, making it the oldest distillery on the island. At the start it focused on producing Awamori, similar to the distilleries on Okinawa. After the Second World War however, authentic Awamori became an exclusivity of Okinawa, and Yayoi moved on to shochu.
